UR-NAT theater festival
In the days from 24 to 28 August you can experience several exciting performances at the theater festival UR-NAT. The festival is produced by Teatret OM, and virtually all the performances take place in the open air.
UR-NAT is a play on the word "nature", with reference to the first night humankind was in contact with nature.
This year the festival focuses on how man transforms nature and how nature transforms the human made. UR-NAT seeks out and explores new locations and takes the audience on a discovery of the fantastic nature of West Jutland – deep into the fairytale-filled forest, and all the way to the wide-open North Sea, but also into the urban and cultural.
Experience the performance "Coexistence - from Mata Atlântica to Hoverdal"
The performance is based on two countries' different experiences with nature and the climate crisis - two artists with the same desire to focus on the fact that we humans are part of nature, not its owners. With a shared sense of necessity, they ask the question: What happens when the human body merges with the body of another living being?
The performance is a collaboration between Antonella Diana, set designer, Teatret OM in Denmark and Tatiana Cardoso, stage director and researcher at the State University of Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil.
