Kong Hans Bro
In scenic surroundings by Skjern Enge, you can visit Denmark's longest wooden suspension bridge, Kong Hans Bro. The bridge was built in 2003 as part of the restoration of river Skjern Å.
The powerful pylons are built of "navy oak", which was planted in 1807 after the loss of the Danish navy to England. The bridge is named after King Hans, who tragically died of pneumonia after falling into the water at this location. His memorial stone is placed next to the bridge.
