WATERZ Windsurfing Long Distance
Welcome to WATERZ Long Distance - a legendary event where you get to experience the magic of long distance sailing
It's not just the sailing that makes this experience extraordinary. You also get the chance to sail with some of the world's elite windsurfers. Get ready for a race that's bursting with energy and at the same time gives way to the scent of salt water and the legendary nature of West Jutland in Hvide Sande.
The event area, which is also the start and finish of the races, is located between Westwind Nord and Kabelparken in Hvide Sande. In the same area, the IFCA Slalom World Championships will be held from 8-14 September. The World Championships will attract many athletes to Hvide Sande in the days and weeks leading up to the event.
The races:
The long-distance race will be held on Ringkøbing Fjord. The course will be as long as possible, depending on the wind direction. Optimal would be a course where you sail to Ringkøbing and back.
Up to two sailing sessions can be organised per day. You can participate on windsurf, kitesurf and wingfoil.

WATERZ is Scandinavia's largest water sports festival, bringing together windsurfers, kitesurfers, surfers, stand up paddlers, wingfoilers and many more every year for a joint water sports party. There are activities for everyone, whether you're a beginner or part of the world's elite. The festival is held every year in September in Hvide Sande, the Scandinavian heart of water sports for all.
