Kvie Lake
The lake Kvie Sø, situated a bit north of Ansager, is listed and about 30 hectares big. The lake is low on nutrients, meaning that rare plants like spring quillwort grow in the clear water of the lake.
There are two hiking trails near the lake – one goes around the lake and the other around the nearby moor. The vegetation at the lake is varied with different flowers and fragrant meadow fern. You can often see anatids at the lake and swallows forage on the lake surface in the summer. Southwest of Kvie Sø is Pølmosen, an interesting grazed moor area covering 17 hectares with a 2.5km marked hiking trail.
